Malaysia Building Society Berhad ("MBSB" or "the Company") wishes to inform Bursa Malaysia that based on information available to us and to the best of our knowledge, we confirm that the Company has no information relating to the reported article. We refer to the above article appearing in Nanyang Siang Pau, Business Section,
page C12 on Tuesday, 26 June 2007, a copy of which is enclosed for your
reference.

sentences, which state that Bank Rakyat intends to buy up to 30% stake in
Malaysia Building Society Bhd from the Employees Provident Fund.
