Payment of 4% Dividend To the Holders of 165,000,000 Redeemable Convertible Preference Shares Of Rm1.00 Each In the Company For The Year Ended 31 December 2006

The Board of Directors of Malaysia Building Society Berhad ("the Company") is pleased to announce that the Company had on 28 February 2007 made a 4% dividend payment (net of 27% taxation) for the year ended 31 December 2006 amounting to RM4,818,000.00 to the Employees Provident Fund Board ("EPF") and Permodalan Nasional Berhad ("PNB") as the collective holders of 165,000,000 Redeemable Convertible Preference Shares (RCPS") of RM1.00 each in the Company ("RCPS Dividend Payment")

The RCPS Dividend Payment was made in accordance with the terms of the Subscription Agreement dated 6th March 2003 entered into by the Company, EPF and PNB
